UNDERSTANDING ACCOMMODATION SWAP

Accom Swap is an inclusive platform, designed for a diverse range of establishments, not limited to a particular class. This is a swap-based system, not a quality-controlled site exclusive to premium properties.

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Please note that Accommodation Swap does not guarantee the quality of its members' offerings. However, we do have basic membership requirements - Applicants must have a website or an equivalent online presence to allow other members to view their offerings.

QUALITY AND RATINGS

Membership on Accommodation Swap does not imply top quality. Guests are responsible for ensuring that an establishment meets their personal standards. Accommodation Swap does not engage in quality grading. For issues regarding star ratings, members should contact the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa directly, as those ratings are beyond our control. It's worth noting that many establishments have opted out of the rating system due to inconsistencies and high costs. Consequently, numerous ungraded establishments may be equivalent to or even surpass 3-4 star ratings.

DIVERSE EXPECTATIONS

Accom Swap does not verify ratings, as it is not our responsibility. Within our group, expectations vary widely: Some members prefer basic accommodations and might feel uncomfortable in high-star establishments. Others are selective and only consider 4-5 star places. Accom Swap caters to all preferences, providing a range of options to match different expectations and comfort levels. Our diverse selection ensures that all members can find suitable accommodation.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member and potential guest, it is your responsibility to conduct your own research, similar to any guest: Utilize platforms like Booking.com, TripAdvisor, or SafariNow to read reviews and feedback from the general public. These websites offer reliable insights into the quality of an establishment based on guest experiences. By following these guidelines, members can make informed decisions and enjoy satisfactory stays through Accommodation Swap.
